My name is Sherry, allow me to share more about my journey. After my first child was born, I managed to juggle being a working mom, but things changed when my second little bundle of joy arrived. I made a conscious decision to become a stay-at-home mom. It wasn't an easy choice, though. You see, in the beginning, my mom was a huge help, taking care of my first child which enabled me to resume work and concentrate on advancing my career. But she had her hands full with her own business too. So, when my second child came along, she had to tell me she couldn't extend assistance with childcare. She was stretched thin, managing her business and looking after my first little one. This decision was entirely understandable and respected.

During my maternity leave, I faced the difficult decision of either continuing with a job that I loved and had worked hard to move up in the corporate ladder or staying at home to care for and bond with my children. The mom guilt weighed heavily on me, especially at the thought of putting my youngest into daycare at such a young age. Ultimately, I made the tough, yet best decision of my life - I chose to stay home.

As a mom, I want to be there for my kids in every possible way. This means volunteering at their schools, attending their extracurricular activities, and supporting their interests. However, it can be quite a juggling act to coordinate and prioritize all these commitments while also having my responsibilities and goals. Being a stay-at-home mom has been an incredible experience. I've learned and grown alongside my children, and let me tell you, they have been my greatest teachers. It's amazing how much I am capable of, from being more creative and organized to becoming an expert at multitasking and managing my time efficiently. These skills are things I will take with me as I transition back into the workforce.

Now, as I embark on the challenging yet exciting journey of returning to work, it's only natural that stress and anxiety loom, affecting not just me but my entire family. I anticipate grappling with and overcoming various challenges as I navigate this transition. I know what it's like to be pulled in different directions, trying to balance the demands of my job with the needs of my family, especially my kids. However, I am determined to conquer it because I truly believe that the only way out is through it. In sharing my experiences as a mom, I aim to offer insight, comfort, and empowerment. Together, as we embark on the journey of returning to the workforce, I hope you find valuable tips on managing and maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

My name is Si Ho, and I wanted to talk about my part of my journey and how we can all learn and grow together as a community. Everything was normal, living life and just growing up as an adult. In my mid-twenties, I had a loving relationship, a comfortable home, and a promising future on the horizon. Until the day my partner decided to go back to school to change careers, things started to go off track. I devoted myself to supporting my partner as she pursued her education, celebrating her victories and weathering the challenges by her side. However, the moment she completed her degree, a sudden shift occurred. Questions about our relationship, finances, and the future emerged, and despite my unwavering support, she chose to move on. I sold the house and tried to move but became in a lost forest with my thoughts. For years, I carried the weight of this heart-wrenching change, and it took a toll on every aspect of my life. Neglecting my well-being, my health deteriorated, and the signs of self-neglect became increasingly evident. Staring up at the hospital ceiling, diagnosed with congestive heart failure, I faced a harsh reality. At that moment, a profound realization struck—I had to reclaim my life. The journey back to health became my priority, a necessary step towards rebuilding the parts of a life that had been taken away.
